A motorcycle’s suspension does more than soak up bumps. It controls how you turn, accelerate, and stop. It tells you everything you need to know about the road surface and what your bike and tires are doing. However, it must be set up to suit you – the rider – specifically. The greatest variable is the rider’s weight. At the shop we’ve got customers who weigh from under 100lbs to over 350lbs. No matter what the range of weight there are springs of the correct rate, damping settings and geometry changes that will allow the bike to do what it’s supposed to do, allowing you to ride safely, more comfortably, and much faster.
If you are of average height and weight, setup using your stock components is fairly straightforward and mostly involves adjusting sag and damping settings – even from these seemingly simple adjustments you will notice a huge difference in the way your bike responds right away – it all comes down to confidence and enjoyment.
In addition to improving the performance of your bike, a properly set-up suspension will make your bike much safer to ride on the street. We can upgrade most of your stock components including Ohlins, Showa, Sachs and Marzocchi.
We fully service all Ohlins suspension products including fork seals, shock seal heads, shafts and nitrogen bleeds using Ohlins components and specific oils.
